Information entered into Forester’s Friend is stored locally on the user’s device. This may include forestry projects, stands, property information, landowner information, plot and tree measurements, geographic locations, stumpage prices, estimated values, reports, notes, business information, letterhead details, and images selected by the user. The developer does not have access to this information.
Location Information
The app may request location access for mapping, navigation, plot-location, or other forestry field features. Location information is used on the device and is not transmitted to or stored by the developer.
Camera and Photo Library
The app may request access when a user chooses to add an image, photograph, logo, or supporting material. These images remain under the user’s control and are not transmitted to the developer.
File Exports and Sharing
The app allows users to create, export, save, or share reports and project files. Information leaves the app only when the user chooses to save or share it. The developer does not receive copies of exported files.
Analytics and Advertising
Forester’s Friend does not use third-party advertising services, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not use developer-accessible analytics to collect information about users or forestry projects.
Data Retention and Deletion
Information remains on the user’s device until it is edited or deleted. Deleting the app may remove locally stored data, subject to device backup and storage settings.
Data Security
Forester’s Friend relies on the security features provided by the user’s device and operating system. Users are responsible for securing their devices, backups, exported files, and shared reports.
Children’s Privacy
Forester’s Friend is a professional forestry and land-management application and is not directed toward children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
